His debut feature FRAUD (2018), a true crime “doc” crafted entirely from a stranger's YouTube uploads, was met with widespread controversy and acclaim– hailed as a "brilliantly provocative" (Filmmaker) “masterwork”(IDA’s Documentary Magazine) that “pushes the boundaries of documentary film”(Variety) while also eliciting heated reactions and even some physical fights from audiences at its festival screenings.
His sophomore effort, A24’s MARCEL THE SHELL WITH SHOES ON was released to widespread acclaim, ultimately becoming Rotten Tomatoes’ best-reviewed film of 2022. It won multiple “Best Animated Film” honors including those from the National Board of Review and the New York Film Critics Circle, and garnered BAFTA, Golden Globe, Critics Choice, and Academy Awards nominations.
His next film, the live-action adaptation of Disney’s LILO & STITCH, is slated for 2024. Fleischer Camp has also directed award-winning campaigns for commercial clients including HBO, TBS, Kellogg’s, Procter & Gamble, Shopify and others. He lives in Los Angeles.
